Artist Biography: Manish Menace

By: Marques the Writer

Phoenix is one of the most populated cities in America and is filled with many talented hip-hop artists-each striving for their voices to be heard from among the crowd. While many of these artists struggle to build a presence in a market of over three million, this has been a, seemingly, natural feat for Slumlord Entertainment recording artist, Manish Menace.

The South Phoenix native has only been recording professionally for three years but is avid in every sense of the word. He's released four albums and is currently preparing for his fifth release. His love for music was spawned as a child from carefully observing his parents. His mom was a singer and his dad was a drummer, which led to him becomingan active member of the church choir. In time, his musical passion was nourished by his wide array of lifes experiences, which includes a 15 year prison incarceration.

Lifes experiences, both good and bad, have molded Manish Menace into a man of wisdom and make it easy for music-lovers to connect with his heart-felt lyrics. "He is dedicated, motivated, a hustler, go-getter...he's the 'I am going to go after what I want 'type of guy, said his manager, Mariana Matthews.

His primary influences includes: 2pac, Scarface, and MC Eiht.

The registered ASCAP member has collaborated with some of the most talented artists and producers in the Southwest such as: Yung Wax, Yog Westwood, Luxe Beats, E-Flo, Bomb Nameless, Cali Boy Gookie and more. The seasoned lyricist has built a solid buzz from releasing high quality songs such as, AZ Streets, Trapped in Misery, Gangsta Living, and Parking Lot Posted.

Not only is Manish Menace a seasoned recording artist but also an outstanding performer who is great at engaging the crowd. He's performed in several well-respected venues in both, Arizona and California.

One of the biggest motivations that he has for becoming a musician is his love for his wife and two kids. He wants others who've led similar lifestyles to realize that no matter what you encounter in life, you can make it-as long as you don't give up.

Manish Menace is currently working on his upcoming album, The Streets Is Asking which will be released August 21, 2013. In addition to his upcoming bookings in Arizona and California, he is scheduled to perform in Virginia and New York.
