R&B SINGER
Brian Christopher is an independent r&b singer and event host from the Washington DC Area known for his smooth crooning performances and his jazz influenced musical style.
Christopher graduated from Suitland High School (Suitland, MD) in 1993 as part of the Visual and Performing Arts program. He attended Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA for a year and eventually graduated from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA in 1998 where he began to refine his songwriting skills. In 1999, Christopher married and for the next decade spent most of his time singing and writing for several different church gospel groups and performing occasionally with local bands.
Christopher released his debut album "All of Me" in 2010. The lead single I Wonder won the New Music competition (Majic 102.3FM Washington DC) and sparked several local and out of town performance dates. In 2012, he slowed down to release his first single in two years, Just How You Feel. The single landed him notoriety abroad and an invitation to Japan for a three month singing stint. Christopher returned to the states and immediately teamed up with jazz/r&b vocalist, Mycah Chevalier to co-write his third single, In The Groove. The song soared to the #3 position on the UK Soul Charts and was considered for nomination for the 56th Grammy Awards. Off its success, he collaborated with French producer FranZ of BigBox Recordings on his fourth release, a soulful house tune called Love Take All Of Me released in 2013 which shot to #5 on the Soul Energy House Chart.
Christopher released two more projects in 2013 The Way of which the title track has gone on to garner huge recognition being covered by various different producers. His third project, Lets Stay Home Tonight features the fan favorite original, Alone With You and a soulful cover of a neo soul artist, Anthony Davids hit song, Smoke One. Christopher released his 5th single, So Much Love which is in worldwide rotation and his most current single "I Was Wrong" which has nearly 20,000 plays online.
He has traveled extensively both domestically and internationally and is also a father of two daughters and a graphic artist. In addition to performing, Christopher has produced a monthly podcast Soulful Groovin Radio that featured independent music. He also an independent music showcase The Blend which was created to bridge the artistic gap between indie artists, music lovers and local businesses.
