Since the mid--'90s Drivin' Rain has been one of the midwest's favorite local live bands. After performing for millions of fans across the heartland over the years, selling 10s of thousands of independently distributed CDs and DVDs worldwide, and reaching the world via television, print media and Internet, Drivin' Rain is ready to shower its rock and roll power from the dead center of the map to a town near you.
DRIvIN' RAIN is fronted by singer Timexx Nasty. Timexx is also the singer for ex-Scorpions drummer Herman Rarebell's band HERMAN ZE GERMAN, and performed under that name in 2009 including Rocklahoma.
Lead singer Timexx Nasty is most recently best-known worldwide on You Tube for his song "Grim Reaper Test", performed with new guitarist Becca Williams and Keri Kelli (Alice Cooper). Extensive recent statistical data is available for this act via You Tube Analytics. It has an 18-45 demographic, trending strongest in the 25-34 age bracket, half of the audience is U.S. based. DRIvIN' RAIN is Googleable under "Drivin Rain Band" and on Facebook. The band is currently working on new songs and in the process of recording new singles to be released via streaming entities and promoted under various commercial affiliations, advertising and promotions.
In 2010, Drivin' Rain released the album "DELIGHTFULLY EVIL" on FNA Records. The album features the songs, "Delightfully Evil", "Unmarked Grave", "Reality Check" and "Anti-Everything". Also released on FNA Records, the single "Cryin' In the Rain", a tribute to Whitesnake and salute to the era which most influenced the band and its overall sound. Spanning from mainstream metal, southern rock, punk and hair metal overtones weave an original tapestry with a vast repertoire covering the last 30 years and more.
DRIvIN' RAIN's song "A Law Against Me" has been featured on Mid-Coast Mania TV Show. The band's song "2Y2K (Too Young To Kill)" was featured on the CITY OF ROSES ROCKS 2000 CD, and has been heard on various FM and Internet radio stations around the world. In 2001 DRIvIN' RAIN released the CD "LIMITED" which quickly sold out. They soon released another EP called "BLOW UP YOUR RADIO" that sold faster than the first. The band then put out the demo "LIVE & LIMITED" CD. It was recorded at POPS in St. Louis and features 2 full-color vinyl picture discs. In 2004 DRIvIN' RAIN unveiled its next full-length CD, "DRIvIN' RAIN". That CD spawned the radio hits "A Law Against Me", "Hellwater" and "Drivin' Rain", a Government Mule cover. Receiving great reviews worldwide for its raw hard rock sound, in 2005, DRIvIN' RAIN's "Hellwater" was released on the "CAPE SCENE vol 1" CD. DRIvIN' RAIN appears on its first DVD along with Jim Dandy's Black Oak Arkansas, Rebel Train, and others. DRIvIN' RAIN was featured on yet another TV show when SoundScan aired the band live performing "Hellwater". That aired along with the release of the SoundScan DVD, also on sale now.
