To say that The Derrick Newton Band is a hard-rocking, high-energy group of experienced musicians who pick up where the others leave off would be an understatement! The Derrick Newton Band is, without a doubt, the real deal! The group came together in late 2014 when former Bad Brew members Cody Chapman (vocals & guitar) and Brian Shrader (vocals & drums), began a side gig with Derrick Newton (vocals & guitar) and the very talented Wade Faulkner (bass guitar). The side gig as a house band together quickly turned into much more, after the shows were practically effortless from day one! The musicians meshed together, both on and off stage, with a chemistry that is almost unheard of. The individual members have spent years cutting teeth in bars and clubs all over Middle Tennessee. (115 years collectively to be exact). The Derrick Newton Band in the past year has played everything from weddings, private parties, clubs, festivals, to several very large events. The Heres the Beef/The Souths Largest Tailgate Party, the Waynesboro Rock & Roll Dinner Show Battle of the Bands (receiving a 1st place trophy), and the Middle Tennessee District Fair just to name a few.
The band is blessed with three lead vocalists, delivering everything from Classic Rock and Blues, to Rockin Country and Top 20 new country.
