Mike O'Dea, a focused writer-director-actor with a natural sense of pathos that he weaves into his films. His real life experiences have hardened his resolve and the result is an ultra-gritty and ice-cold film style with a spark of warmth.
O'Dea was cast as a firefighter in the Showtime series 'Brotherhood. He also co-starred in the TV pilot 'Orlando Blues' as a hot-headed homicide detective.
In 2004, O'Dea founded Shamrock Films and wrote his first screenplay Townies, an Irish gangster film loosely based on his own life. The script garnered the interest of Tom Sizemore, Peter Greene (Zed in Pulp Fiction) and Harvey Keitel who gave O'Dea the advice to avoid Hollywood and shoot the movie on his own.
O'Dea began filming Townies on a shoestring budget in 2007 with the help of volunteers and local unknown actors. The film was shut down after O'Dea filmed a mob hit scene in public without proper permits. Citizens thought the shooting was real and called 911 for help. O'Dea was charged with disorderly conduct, fined, and ordered to clean trash off the highways that summer.

O'Dea took the footage he had of Townies and made a short film, piecing the story together with voice over narration. Townies is re-entering production in 2013 to be completed as a feature film.
O'Dea is current in post-production of the feature film Ghostman, a heist thriller about a masked thief who gives up his life of crime to be with the girl he loves until his old crew reemerges with one final score.
