Download PDFRobert William Scifo (born May 2, 1983), known by his stage name Casper, is an American rapper, entrepreneur, record producer and independent record label ceo. His rise to fame is here, with his debut album Redemption planned for release in late 2012 . Casper is now signed to his own imprint Max Out Entertainment distributed through alliance distribution owned by Warner Music Group (WMG) and Monotunes formerly JDM distribution. His debut Redemption is on schedule for its late 2012 release. Casper was born in Plainfield New Jersey but was raised in carteret, he was influenced by music since the age of twelve, Casper began to feature on mixtapes locally at the age of sixteen creating a street buzz with mixtape murda but Casper fell back into the street life and away from music selling drugs to support his daughter and now wife, in January 2001 Casper was incarcerated and sentenced to five years in state prison for possession and distribution of drugs and a firearm. During Caspers incarceration he revised his mission and regained his love for hip hop, Casper started writing music and was prepared to let the world hear his life of struggles. In 2007 Casper decided to release a independent mixtape more towards an album, which he recorded Convicted Felon that he planned to release in 2008, during that period Casper received (3) counts of robbery charges and at the time of fighting his case Casper was in contract negotiation with The Games Black Wall Street Label and turned down a Universal Records deal prior to that. In 2008 Casper was sentenced to another five year sentence but determined not to give up on his dream, Casper was released February 11, 2012 and jumped right back in the music scene like he never left. Upon Caspers release he started recording new music and negotiating new contracts with bigger intentions than ever before. Caspers now independent label Max Out Entertainment is based out of Philadelphia PA, Casper plans for artists such as papoose, maino, freeway, Jon Young and J Cash to appear on his Redemption debut album. "Interview Quote" Casper stated he had to pursue his dream in order to provide the life his Wife, Daughter, Son and expected baby deserve, life without the struggles he endured and also promises to win a grammy on behalf of his brother who passed away a year ago. The streets are a part of Caspers life he will never forget and Hip Hop is a way of Casper letting you know that no matter what your trials and tribulations are, you are not alone.
