The Shakes are a local Las Vegas eclectic group of talented musicians who have come together to collaborate on some of the most notable songs of the past and present. The band has been together for 7 years. This young and highly talented group of individuals is sure to bring on a highly energetic and crowd pleasing experience. Join us as we take you on a musical tour of some of the music industry's most notable writers, artists, and musicians. Although the band members are young, they enthusiastically play historic rock and roll hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s taking you back into time.
THE BAND THEME
Its so cool to see and hear our newest generation of musicians appreciate and perform classic rock and roll hits without any trick sound effects; simply raw pure talent! Like many bands of the past included in their song list, such as Elvis, Chuck Berry, and The Beatles, who didnt have all the technology of today this band plays their music in the raw! This band plays and sings like the original bands did, without all the modern technology in a musical era gone by. They plug in and play to give you that vintage sound and looks that will remind you of the music you listened to when you were 16!
PERFORMANCES
The Shakes have performed at a variety of indoor and outdoor events for the Military, Veterans and their families. They have also played numerous fundraisers, charities, benefit concerts, sports events, clubs, Casinos and many other outdoor concerts. The Shakes headlined as the showcase act for the 2014 Veterans Day Salute variety show at Santa Fe Station Hotel and Casino performing at the Chrome Showroom.
AWARDS
The Shakes have won first place in numerous talent shows and variety shows. The bands most notable achievement was when the very prestigious Las Vegas Gateway Arts Foundation selected the band as their Grand Masters Class winners in 2014.
THE SHOW
The Shakes are a live classic rock and roll band playing a variety of hits from the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s. To compliment the time-era of the music they play, they routinely perform in black suits, coats and ties. The band can perform up to 4 hours of music and have a song list of over 200 songs. They are a self-contained band with their own musical instruments, equipment and capable of providing their own Public Address (PA) sound system. In between musical sets and during their breaks they can play a variety of live streaming music through their sound system to include all genre of music such as the current top 40 hits and holiday season music to match the event theme.
STUDIO RECORDING WORK
They are currently working on their first studio album. The songs that you hear on the Audio playlist are a few examples of their capabilities that you will hear on a live stage.
