Download PDFLashonna Puryear is a native Memphian were she resides with her husband of thirteen years, Stacey Puryear. She is an avid lover of the arts following her passion to become an infamous playwright. She is currently studying for her BA in Business Administration. Her credits include producer, director, and choreographer of "Ashes to Art", "Passion of the Christ: The Dancial"' "I'm Not Forgotten", and "What If Jesus Hadn't Died". She strives to stimulate your consciousness through her eclectic viewpoint of morality. When asked why she does this her answer is for joy and entertainment unveiling her gift whether to just a few or many that spend their money to see her work unfold.
In 2013 Lashonna decided to form her own company, Drama Queen Entertainment. She believes that there is an immediate need for creativity to present entertainment with an attitude. Lashonna also believes that entertainment is an enjoyment that is needed, appreciated, and desired by those who look for change. Lashonna says the artistic aims of her organization are to explore dance in a way that spark peoples interest in a vigorous, amazing and insightful manner. As a visionary she will tell stories through dance interpretation.
