(Pronounced Ja-VA-lee) this up and coming arranger/composer, singer, and producer mixer/ engineer of her own Smooth jazz , Soul, and smooth R & B music. Born and raised in Sacramento, California Jhavali has been singing since the age of five. At the age of 11, she developed a love for writing music. Jhavali comes from a musical family and was introduced to R and B and jazz by her mother, father, and uncles. Her first instrument was in her 6th-grade band, which was the clarinet. There she learned to read music, taught by her music teacher coincidentally named Ms. Keys.
She also had a strong interest in playing drums and moved on from clarinet to learning about drums in 6th grade, starting with the snare drum. At the same time, Jhavali developed a strong interest in composing songs using her keyboard. She had a music book from a local music shop and in that book, she would find her passion. She picked a song to play using her Casio keyboard Frank Sinatra's "All Of Me". She re-wrote and re-mixed the song into a pop genre using her keyboard and has been writing music ever since.
By the age of 14 Jhavali was transforming the family room into a make-shift recording studio. Every weekend using her mother's home stereo equipment to make her own tracks. She used an analog stereo with a cassette deck and a couple of boom boxes and would use these to record and make her own instrumental loops. Mom never figured out how she did it!
